The Heart of the Alps in Austria opens up to reveal a fascinating mountain world. Hikers and climbers can roam through gentle uplands, master the long-distance trekking trails, or scale one of the many mountain peaks. Whether you are walking, mountain hiking or trekking: you are bound to find a route to suit amongst the 24,000 kilometres of marked trails. Tirol's most famous long-distance trekking trail, the Eagle Walk, traverses the heart of the Alps over 413 kilometres and impressively demonstrates Tirol’s beauty, individuality and character during a walking and hiking holiday in Austria.
